1. Q: Do I need a license to purchase online training?
A: We are honored that you want to learn more about CIMBS. However, a few of our courses contain live videos of patients.  We have signed a contract with our patients saying that their videos will not be seen by anyone other than certified psychotherapists, psychologists, social workers or psychiatrists because of HIPPA confidentiality.

Our book has a lot of patient transcripts that you could read and has very detailed descriptions allowing you to easily learn the paradigm. Please note that the following training courses that do not contain patient videos can be purchased directly from our website:

    PsychoPhysiological Phenomena
    Therapeutic Attachment Relationship
    Transpiring Present Moment in Psychotherapy
    Nonconscious Anxiety and Shame

  2. Q: : Do you have affiliated practitioners out East?
A: We understand the desire to find a therapist in your area, however, currently the only CIMBS certified therapists’ practice on the West Coast. Please see Our Certified Therapists and Teachers page for reference.

  3. Q: If I am a beginner, which of the trainings should I start with?
A: Each online training covers the basic principles and practices of CIMBS as well as the specific title topic using interactive exercises, recordings of actual clinical sessions, and therapy demonstrations.  They can be viewed in any order and each is appropriate for a true beginner.

  4. Q: Are your courses approved for CEs by the ASWB?
A: We have been applying for and receiving accreditation of CEs through the Washington State Society for Clinical Social Work (WSSCSW) for 10 years.   We have carefully checked and The State of Washington Department of Health has approved this accreditation for all mental health providers including PhDs, LMHC, Clinical Social workers, Marriage and Family therapists, and so on.  We anticipate that this accreditation will be suitable for your state as well.
